About Us

The Hamilton Competitions Society is a member of the Performing Arts Competitions Association of New Zealand, the parent body for the performing arts movement in New Zealand. We are an Incorporated Society and have registered charitable status (charity # CC41852).

The Hamilton Festival of the Performing Arts is held in the July School Holidays each year. In 2011 we have new venues and revised formats. Please click on 'festival info' tab to find out more information about each of the competitions.
The aim of our society is to give young performers the opportunity to gain confidence in a supportive environment. Our adjudicators help contestants to realise and improve their talents through constructive feedback.
We welcome entrants from around New Zealand to our competitions.
